BÁRBARA LIA E A AUTORIA FEMININA PARANAENSE: REPRESENTAÇÃO DE GÊNERO NA LITERATURA

Abstract

This paper analyzes the present works Solidão Calcinada (2007) and Constelação de ossos (2010), both from the Paraná`s writer Bárbara Lia, seeking to understand how the gender issues are discussed in these fictional narratives. Therefore, it is necessary to return to the historical trajectory that has revealed moments of conflict between the male and female genders, rising the feminist movements , in the twentieth century , with a variety of interests, driven by the oppressive male patriarchy system displeasure, and that echoed in society at the time. The break with the hegemonic literary model, based on the male patern and the reformulation of the traditional theoretical thinking through theories such as the Cultural Studies proposed by Stuart Hall, Raymond Williams and Terry Eagleton, will be highlighted in this paper in order to historicize the involvement of literature and other arts in the process which gave the free expression to social groups composed of disadvantaged minorities. Peggy Sharpe, Judith Butler, Joan Scott and Margareth Rago are some of the theorists chosen to the gender referential and, in a very particular way is going to guide this study in order to understand how the authored literature gained ground and contributed to the construction of the contemporary literary legacy. Another important issue to be highlighted about this, concerns to the insertion of Barbara Lia into these dynamic processes that give the female authors prestigious place after the hard class struggles for the liberation of women, mainly the Brazilian ones.
