CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA INSTITUCIONALIZAÇÃO DAS PRÁTICAS DA ENGENHARIA SIMULTÂNEA NO DESENVOLVIMENTO DE PROCESSOS PRODUTIVOS: UM ESTUDO EM UMA INDÚSTRIA DO PARANÁ

Abstract

This dissertation addresses as its theme the contribution of the institutionalization of simultaneous engineering practices in the development of production processes: a study in an industry in Paraná, in the line of research in innovation of the Graduate Program in Administration (PPGADM), being a professional master's degree in administration from the State University of the Center-West – UNICENTRO. And, for the development of the research, it defined as a general objective to analyze the process of institutionalization of simultaneous engineering practices in the development of productive processes in an industry in the central west region of Paraná. This is descriptive research, using a qualitative approach with the support of quantitative research. Thus, the theoretical and analytical basis is based on the institutional theory, and as a basis for this theory, the stages of institutionalization and the theory of innovation were used, and in this theory, the spiral of knowledge was used. The branch of this study was a seed industry, which performs the processing and treatment of barley, corn, soybeans and wheat, and contributes to the region being prominent in these crops. Regarding the methodology, the first phase of the study was characterized by qualitative research, whose data collection occurred through semi-structured interviews with three industry collaborators. The second phase of the study, on the other hand, was characterized by quantitative research, with which questionnaires with a Likert scale were applied to a sample of twenty-eight employees from the industry. In addition, data were collected through observation. Also, for data analysis, content analysis was used, and for statistical analysis, quantitative analysis was used, using the SPSS software. As a result of the research, it was verified the agreement that simultaneous engineering is institutionalized, although it is little known by this nomenclature, and that there is research and development in the search for innovations. It was also found that only the innovations that were implemented and persisted are monitored, and there is no type of monitoring of innovations that were proposed and that did not prosper.
