O RETORNO DA HISTÓRIA: A FESTA DAS NAÇÕES (MALLET/PR) - UM ESTUDO EM TORNO DAS FRONTEIRAS ÉTNICAS ENTRE POLONESES E UCRANIANOS

Abstract

The Ethnic boundaries arise between different ethnic groups when among them there in order to differentiate. The objective of this dissertation is to make a study on ethnic lines between the Polish and Ukrainian ethnic groups between 1993, the year the day of Festival of Nations, to the present day. Throughout the paper we describe the coexistence of Poles and Ukrainians in European lands and the formation of ethnic boundaries have emerged between the two ethnic groups still in European lands due to territorial disputes and Brazil according to statements, they were taken based on past history. It peered still on the way deviations from the European territory influenced the reaffirmation and maintenance of ethnic boundaries in the city of Mallet. The organizer of the Festival of Nations stressed that as possibilities of approximation of Polish and Ukrainian ethnic groups there was great interest in organizing the Festival of Nations in 1993, for which they were formed the folk groups Mazury (Polish) and Spomen (Ukrainian) who presented their dances typical during the event and are currently seen as the main preservers of Polish and Ukrainian culture in the city. However, the Festival of Nations was performed only once. So we tried to analyze the reasons they were not organized Festival of Nations in later years. In support of research bibliographies were consulted on the subject, as well as oral sources, through which it was possible to make arguments that guided the development of the research
