Abstract: The Vale do Genoma is an innovation ecosystem focused on genomic research applied to health, agriculture, and the environment, with the Genomas Paraná Program as its central project. This ecosystem aims to describe the genetic and epidemiological profile of the population of Paraná, with the goal of driving scientific and technological development in the southern-central region of the state, promoting advances that benefit society. The project emerges from a collective dream: to foster scientific and technological progress, with the potential to impact various areas of social and economic life.
This study aims to propose a governance model for the Vale do Genoma, based on the experience within this ecosystem, in order to facilitate its structuring and sustainable growth. To achieve this, it seeks to identify key elements of the quadruple helix relevant to the consolidation of the ecosystem, analyze other established innovation environments, and suggest elements that could serve as governance models for Vale do Genoma. The research adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive methodology, emphasizing the analysis of secondary data regarding the perception of the innovation ecosystem, aiming to understand its interactions and improve the understanding of its governance.
In this context, the study emphasizes the importance of a governance model adapted to the local dynamics of Vale do Genoma, located in Guarapuava, PR, considering the interaction between the different agents of the quadruple helix. The relationships among government, academia, industry, and civil society create a complex social system, with socially constructed roles and dynamics that shape the ecosystem. Understanding the social dynamics is essential for quantifying and valuing social relationships, providing technical meaning to the capacity for transforming a region.
Moreover, the study proposes that collaborative governance, as practiced in Vale do Genoma, is considered a more effective approach than legally institutionalized governance. The collaborative nature of interactions among the various actors in the ecosystem allows for greater flexibility, innovation, and adaptation to local needs, enhancing the emergence and development of innovations and innovative companies. Instead of a rigid, institutionalized model, collaborative governance facilitates the creation of an environment conducive to the growth of new technological and scientific solutions, promoting lasting and positive impacts for the region.

Abstract: It is known that breastfeeding can be impaired by considerable factors, whether social,
economic, physical or environmental. One of the factors that can interfere with
breastfeeding is ankyloglossia, commonly known as “tongue tie”. The Ministry of
Health recommends the Bristol/Tabby Protocol for assessing the lingual frenulum. The
objective of the study was to develop a proposal for systematizing the application of the
Bristol/Tabby protocol in the assessment of the lingual frenulum in full-term newborns
in clinical practice in the hospital setting and to perform content validation. It was
decided to present the study according to the Scandinavian model, therefore, the thesis
consists of two articles. The article refers to a scoping review study, in which the
proposal for systematizing the application of the BRISTOL protocol was created, based
on a review of the last 10 years of literature. Article two deals with the content
validation of the proposal to systematize the application of the BRISTOL/Tabby
protocol by expert judges. The literature has shown that there are studies on the
protocols and their applicability, but reports a shortage in terms of standardization
regarding the implementation of the protocol. The validation of the systematization
proposal reached an agreement among the judges with more than 85%

Abstract: Urban areas demand transitions to sustainability in sociotechnical systems, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 11, Sustainable Cities and Communities, can influence the transformative process. This process does not occur in a sociopolitical vacuum, but depends on the dynamics of urban governance. Therefore, it is essential to understand how cities can be governed and which modes of governance are capable of promoting a more sustainable and resilient urban context. Thus, this thesis, from a transition management perspective, aimed to verify the effects of different modes of municipal public governance on transition initiatives to sustainable cities, considering targets 11.2 and 11.6 of SDG 11. This is a descriptive, exploratory, and analytical research with a quantitative approach, operationalized through a survey, using structured Likert-type questionnaires on a 10-point scale. The questionnaires were answered by municipal public agents in management and planning positions in cities in the Southern Region of Brazil with more than 20 thousand inhabitants. In total, 185 municipalities participated in the study. The data were analyzed in a descriptive and multivariate manner using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicated a predominance of participatory, collaborative and smart governance characteristics in the cities investigated. Regarding urban mobility (target 11.2), more positive outcomes were observed in the road safety construct, with actions also aimed at providing public transport and affordable fares. However, initiatives linked to the use of sustainable mobility technologies are still incipient. For target 11.6, initiatives such as green infrastructure, regular collection, treatment and proper disposal of solid waste stood out, but there are still gaps in holding large generators accountable, in reverse logistics and in monitoring air quality. Hypothesis testing revealed that collaborative, multilevel networked and smart governance modes have significant and positive effects on transition initiatives towards sustainable cities. Additionally, larger cities with high human development indices tend to obtain better sustainability results, just as a higher urbanization rate is related to an increase in sustainable urban mobility initiatives. These findings demonstrate that governance structure is an essential mechanism for managing and promoting sustainability transitions through the incorporation of innovative governance modes characterized by collaboration, partnerships and the use of digital technologies. It also provides guidance for public managers and policymakers to achieve sustainability goals in local contexts, aiming for a more sustainable and resilient urban future.

Abstract: The National School Health Survey (PeNSE) brings with it alarming data on the health behavior of adolescents between 13 and 17 years of age, in which only 28% reported sufficient physical activity (with at least 60 minutes of physical activity daily) corroborating the high percentage (approximately 20%) of Brazilian adolescents who are overweight, associating these conditions (sedentary lifestyle and obesity) with the development of chronic non-communicable diseases, resulting in health problems for their later lives. One of the alternatives considered most effective in coping with this reality is the practice of physical activity intrinsic to the physical education curriculum at school, presenting as a subterfuge for the development of healthy habits and physical and mental awareness regarding the expanded concept of health, aiming to the biological, psychological, social and even organizational well-being of schoolchildren and later in adult life. To this end, documents with prescriptions and work strategies in the aforementioned discipline have been published, such as the National Common Curricular Base and the Physical Activity Guide for the Brazilian population, which are guidelines and seek to adapt the Law of Guidelines and Bases to current concerns. and practices that are in vogue in society; in addition to programs carried out by the State that aim at monitoring and positive actions for the development of students, such as PeNSE itself, the Health at School Program, however, which has not shown the necessary effectiveness. In this perspective, the present study's focal point is to discretize from PeNSE which are the main factors that contribute to this deficiency in results, and, together with the guiding documents, seek ways to adapt what is prescribed, presenting as a product a document that summarizes actions effective in favor of both the health and education of Brazilian adolescents. The research is divided into four articles/chapters, first ordering the results of PeNSE (2019), followed by the presentation of the BNCC for Physical Education and its applicability; in a third moment, exposing the Ministry of Health's suggestions for the school community, through the Physical Activity Guide for the Brazilian Population; and finally, presenting the document promoted by UNESCO in 2015, called Quality Physical Education, which covers Physical Education at school level in several countries. After exposing the lack of physical activity among Brazilian schoolchildren, its determinants, and possible consequences; The present study draws conclusions between the
inconsistencies of the BNCC, and the lack of identity of the Physical Education curricular component, which has been understood as a cultural expression, and not as health promotion, which in a maieutical way, shows itself as the core not only of justification of its presence in the school environment, as well as of its entire existence as an area of knowledge.
