A COMPOSIÇÃO NARRATIVA D’O AMOR DOS HOMENS AVULSOS, DE VICTOR HERINGER: ROMANCE, HOMOTEXTUALIDADE E MEMÓRIA

Abstract

The main objective of this dissertation is to verify the movement of memory and the exercise of homotextuality as essential elements for the construction of the narrative The love of single men, by Victor Heringer (2016). As specific objectives, it is necessary to observe the movement of writing and images in the fragmentary composition of the novel, to identify how memory works in the novel and to observe the traits that compose the homotextuality in the book. The methodology is bibliographic, whose referential is mainly based on the work of Denilson Lopes (2002), Giorgio Agamben (2012), Jean-Marie Gagnebin (2009), Silviano Santiago (2004), Natália Brizuela (2014) and Marthe Robert ( 2007), Jacques Rancière (2017), Frantz Fanon (2008). The results achieved, presented in the three central chapters of the dissertation, move towards realizing that the book, object of analysis, presents photographs and other images that mark the memory in the novel, in addition to the writing constructing a whole plot wrapped in a homotextual narrative. Photographs, as well as reminiscences present in writing, are a bridge that joins the past and the present, therefore, they are at the same time a connection between two different moments and a rupture of these moments. It is in this break that there is the whole essence of memory. Heringer presents a narrative in which love is the same for everyone, regardless of sex, race, color or belief. There is an exchange of physical contacts and sexual play, elements that translate into homotextuality. In this sense, the research presented is also important due to the critical analysis of the homoaffective construction in the contemporary Brazilian novel, with emphasis on the body, sexuality and memories.
