Título: A MAJESTOSA TRILHA AXIOLÓGICA DE PODER E DEMOCRACIA NAS OBRAS DE RUTH ROCHA

Abstract: As the theoretical assumptions of the Bakhtin Circle point out, utterances concretize social
relations. Thus, whenever an utterance is addressed to the other, it is accompanied by an
evaluative tone, emotions, feelings and social, historical and cultural values. From this
perspective, this research seeks to understand the axiological constitution of the statements
of Ruth Rocha's series of kings. To this purpose, the research is supported by the theoretical
contribution of the Bakhtin Circle (BAKHTIN, 2003, 2016, 2017; VOLÓCHINOV 2019,
2021 and MEDVIÉDEV, 2019) and other contemporary Brazilian researchers, whose field
nuances the studies of Dialogic Discourse Analysis (ADD). Methodologically, qualitative-interpretative research is adopted, anchored in the sociological method of the theory of Dialogism. As the corpus of the work, four short stories were selected, belonging to Ruth
Rocha's quadrilogy of kings, composed of O reizinho mandão (2013 [1978]), O rei que não
sabia de nada (2012 [1980]), O que os olhos não veem (2012 [1981]) and Sapo vira-rei-vira sapo ou A volta do reizinho mandão (2012 [1982]). From this study, we were able to
show that children's stories are voices to refract and reflect ideologies and values determined
by the chronotope of the military dictatorship. It was found that the axiological elements that
emerge in the reading of the tales constitute a position of criticism of the dictatorial regime
and the aggressive and authoritarian positions with the opponents of the regime and the
population in general. It is understood that linguistic and extraverbal resources contribute to
an evaluative position of repudiation of authoritarianism and censorship, at the same time,
placing the child as a questioner, reflexive and critical in the face of current social demands.
Thus, the reading of the tales enables the reader to understand, assimilate and re-signify the
values circulating in society, in a new chronotope, contributing to the expansion of the child's
socio-ideological awareness, to position himself through language and affirm himself as a
socially and historically constructed subject.

Abstract: From the 1970s onwards, some Latin American countries lived under heavy dictatorships,
violent periods in which producing literature became even more difficult. At that time,
writers adopted the so-called "Latin American identity", providing literature with the
opportunity to bring literary aspects specific to the continent, leaving aside some
colonialist traits. As a result, the combination of these characteristics helped to make Latin
American literature popular and diverse, thus being able to reach the population of the
countries of this continent, becoming an identity and political symbol. In this context,
female writers represent a wide range of social and cultural experiences, contributing to
a diverse representation of the region, and it is in this vein that we meet Diamela Eltit,
author of the novel Forças Especiais (2021), which makes up the corpus of this
dissertation. Analyzing this literary text, we seek to investigate how prostitution is used as
a metaphor to discuss broader issues, such as power, control and resistance; analyze
how the characters demonstrate resistance and resilience in the face of adversity,
examining their coping strategies; understand how the identity of the protagonist
character is constituted; finally, question the role of the woman's body in postmodern
society, based on theoretical assumptions that discuss the concept of minor literature,
identity, state power, among others. With this, it is possible to reflect on the complexities
of power dynamics and the representation of prostitution, relating to the contemporary
society in which we are inserted, analyzing state power and ways of resisting violence, in
addition to understanding how the identity of the protagonist of the novel is constituted.

Abstract: This research analyzes how monstrosity is constructed in the novel Riso dos Ratos
(2021), by Joca Reiners Terron. To this end, specific actions will include, in the first
chapter, delineating animality through a ratography, a term that we seek to construct
in this research based on the observation of the presence of the rat in the history of
Western literature, as well as in the novel by Joca R. Terron, as the figure of the
mouse is lurking, accompanying the character in the narrative. In the second, The
violent traps that harm the body and space like mousetraps will allow us to discuss
the violated body, which is trapped in the mousetrap, at the mercy of brutality. In the
third, we observe the destruction of time in a dystopian narrative and the construction
of the monstrosity seen in the social structure that feeds inequality in the uses of
power. The methodology is of a bibliographic nature, which comprised some steps,
such as book reception research, theoretical research, in particular, some concepts
that permeate the work, and the main texts used in theoretical reflections were by
Cohen (2000), Foucault (2001), Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari (1997), José Gil
(1997) and Giorgio Agamben (2017). In this way, the analysis points out that The
Laughter of Rats (2021) is a narrative that ties together time, space and characters,
in a way that makes dystopian traits evident such as monstrosity, the destruction of
historical time and the abuse of power by absence of standard.

Abstract: Ce travail analyse de manière critique huit propositions de lecture du manuel de
français langue étrangère Par Ici B1 (2016) et les indications disponibles pour ces
activités dans le guide d'exploration pédagogique de la collection. La recherche a été
réalisée au moyen d'une revue bibliographique et d'une analyse documentaire, avec
une approche interprétative de nature qualitative, en utilisant la conception
interactionniste du langage de Bakhtine (2006), le concept de médiation de lecture
de Munita (2015), les stratégies de lecture de Solé (2014), les techniques de Cicurel
(1991) pour rapprocher le lecteur du texte, les perspectives de Moirand (1979) sur la
lecture globale de textes en langue étrangère, le processus de lecture en langue
étrangère de Hervot et Norte (1997) et Leffa (2016), et les réflexions de Gaonac'h
(2000) sur le transfert des connaissances en lecture de la langue première à la
langue seconde. Les objectifs de cette recherche sont les suivants : présenter une
réflexion critique sur le manuel Par Ici B1, centrée sur les activités de compréhension
écrite; de lecture proposées au Par Ici; identifier si les activités de compréhension écrite offrent des conditions pour que l'enseignant crée des situations favorables à la médiation et
à la socialisation de la lecture et vérifier si les activités du Par Ici B1 s'inscrivent dans
les perspectives de l'outil d'évaluation des textes dans le matériel didactique des
langues étrangères présenté par Dias (2006), en ce qui concerne les principes qui
sous-tendent le processus de lecture, les aspects textuels et l'autonomie de l'élève.
Les résultats montrent que le travail sur le texte dans le matériel Par Ici niveau B1
correspond partiellement au concept interactionniste de la lecture, qui exige un
lecteur actif-répondant, puisque sur les huit activités présentées seulement quatre
offrent dans leurs instructions des aides à l'enseignant pour mener et articuler des
questions sur le sujet de la lecture qui permettent effectivement de rapprocher le
texte de la vie sociale de l'élève. Les autres activités analysées utilisent la lecture
comme prétexte à l'enseignement des aspects grammaticaux et lexicaux. Nous
avons également remarqué que plusieurs des textes disponibles dans le manuel
objet de cette recherche sont présentés sans source de référence, ce qui les
caractérise uniquement pour utilisation dans un environnement didactique-
pédagogique, compromettant l'interprétation dans la mesure où, le lecteur ne
connaissant pas l'auteur ou le véhicule de communication, il ne peut pas accéder à
des informations sur le contexte de production, ce qui interfère également dans le
parti pris idéologique du texte. La pertinence de cette étude réside dans l'opportunité
d'une réflexion critique sur l'offre d'activités de lecture interactive dans le manuel Par
Ici, étant donné l'importance de la lecture en tant que pratique sociale efficace pour
l'apprentissage des étudiants en langues étrangères.
